Since day one, Mercado del Pueblo has been dedicated to supporting the people and communities of Bahía de Banderas. What began as a small gathering of local growers and artisans has grown into a vibrant community marketplace where entrepreneurs, farmers, and makers have the opportunity to share their passion, grow their businesses, and connect directly with residents and visitors.

Over the years, many family-owned businesses have taken their very first steps at the Mercado. Some have grown into successful independent shops and restaurants, while others continue to thrive as part of our weekly market community. No matter the path they choose, we're proud to provide a space where local talent can flourish, families can earn a sustainable income, and authentic local products can be celebrated.

As a nonprofit organization, Mercado del Pueblo also reinvests in the community by supporting local initiatives in Sayulita, San Ignacio, and the surrounding region. While our contributions evolve each year to meet changing community needs, our mission remains the same: to strengthen our community through education, sustainability, cultural preservation, and social impact.
